Nabagunjara – Cosmic Fusion of Divinity
Rs. 3,200.00This hand‑painted Nabagunjara wall plate is a rare and sacred depiction from Odisha’s Jagannath tradition, rooted in the 15th‑century Odia Mahabharata by Sarala Dasa. Nabagunjara, composed of nine distinct animal parts, including the rooster head, peacock neck, bull hump, lion torso, serpent tail, and legs of elephant, tiger, and deer/horse with a human hand holding a lotus represents Lord Vishnu’s cosmic form revealed to Arjuna. The creature symbolizes the divine unity of all creation, reminding us that divinity manifests in every being. Traditionally rendered in Pattachitra style, this artwork carries immense cultural and spiritual significance. In vastu, such depictions are believed to invite harmony, inclusivity, and prosperity, making this plate not only a collector’s piece but also an auspicious addition to any home or spiritual space.
